Detailed Description
Helsinki is a thriving centre for design in Northern Europe. There are many creative agencies, independent publishers, and design companies active within the city as well as design museums and galleries. We will be arranging a packed itinerary of studio visits and cultural sites for you during this trip where you will experience the richness of design and creativity in Finland and get to meet professional Finish designers and creative directors. There will also be opportunity to explore the city for yourself along with your peers and friends on the trip. Often people are hesitant to commit to the price of a university trip as it can be a bit more expensive than you can probably source yourself. However, for the additional expense you will gain invaluable experience through our itinerary of visits, establish lasting connections with creatives in Helsinki, and potentially start professional relationships that could lead to great opportunities in the future. These trips are fantastic opportunities that will enhance your professional skillset as a young designer.
The total cost is approximately £633 per person
This can go up or down depending factors such as student numbers, exchange rates etc.
The price of the trip includes uk coach transfers, flights, shared accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis. You will need to have additional money for all other meals, refreshments, Museum visits etc.
Payments:
A deposit of £200.00 is required no later than 09:00 am Thursday 23rd October 2025
An interim payment of approx £180.00 will be due no later than 09:00 am Friday 12th December 2025
Final payment of approx £252.00 will be due no later than 09:00 am Monday 26th January 2026
Please be aware that if you cancel the trip at any stage you may still be liable for up to the full cost of the trip.
Passport
You must hold a passport which is valid for at least three months after the date of travel. British passport holders do not need a VISA to travel. Please check the FOC website here for further details regarding travel requirements.
VISA
If you require a visa to travel to Finland, please ensure that it is valid for the dates of travel before making your deposit.
EHIC & GHIC
You need a valid EHIC or GHIC card at the time of travel.
